Mining firms will speak to you about their machines.
How many they possess. How advanced they are. The speed with which they can extract rock.
Mewara will talk to you about all that as well — since we have more than 80 pieces of owned equipment and take pride in having them. However, before we talk about our machinery, there is something else we must first discuss.
The people who operate that equipment.
This is where the discussion around mining and infrastructural development in India misses a vital point: the miners who are at the blasting site, working in a tunnel face, or quarrying from the bench are performing one of the toughest and most skilled tasks in any profession. They start before dawn. They work in extreme conditions. They operate large equipment and, in certain situations, explosives. And yet, they keep doing so year after year, project after project, in Maharashtra and throughout India.
That is why at Mewara Mining Services, we know that how you care for your people is just as critical as your project management processes. Not as part
At Mewara Mining Services, we believe that how you treat your people is just as important as how you run your projects. Not as a policy statement — but as a daily practice on every active site.
Here is exactly what that looks like.

Medical kit and emergency care — always on site
Every active Mewara project site carries a fully stocked first aid and medical kit. Trained first-aiders are present on every shift. Emergency response plans are documented and shared with all site personnel — not filed in an office somewhere but genuinely known by the people who would need to act on them.
For remote project sites far from hospitals, we maintain closer coordination with the nearest medical facility and ensure that our supervisors know the fastest emergency route from the site. A worker who gets hurt should never have to wait because nobody knew what to do next.
Lunch break — real food, real rest
It sounds simple. But on many sites in India, lunch is an afterthought — eaten standing up, rushed, or skipped entirely when production pressure builds.
At Mewara, lunch is a proper break. Workers eat together, away from the active work zone, with enough time to actually recover from the morning's physical exertion. We believe that a team that eats well and rests properly in the middle of the day makes better decisions and works more safely in the afternoon.
On residential project sites, meal arrangements are organised and consistent. On remote sites, we ensure that workers have access to clean drinking water throughout the day — not just at mealtimes.
Safety comes first — every single morning
Before any drill bit turns or any explosive is handled, the entire site team gathers for a morning safety meeting. Every person on site knows the day's plan, the hazards to watch for, and exactly what to do if something goes wrong.
Proper PPE — helmets, ear protection, dust masks, high-visibility gear — is checked and confirmed before work begins. Not assumed. Checked. Workers who are missing equipment do not start work until it is provided.
On sites near urban areas, we use controlled blasting techniques to protect not just nearby communities but our own crew from excessive vibration, dust, and noise exposure.
Safety at Mewara is not a checklist that gets ticked once. It is a living culture that gets reinforced every morning, every shift, every blast.
Rotational shifts because fatigue is a safety risk
Mining and blasting work requires sharp attention. A tired drill operator makes different decisions than a rested one. A fatigued supervisor misses things that a fresh one catches.
Mewara operates rotational shift systems on projects that run extended hours. No one person is on the most demanding tasks continuously. Shift handovers are properly managed — the incoming shift knows exactly what happened before they arrived, what to watch for, and where the work stands.
We treat fatigue management as seriously as we treat blast design. Because on a site with heavy machinery and explosives, an exhausted worker is as real a risk as any technical failure.
Training for every level, on every site
New workers receive structured induction before they do anything else. Experienced workers receive regular refresher training. Blast crews are trained specifically on explosives handling, misfire procedures, and emergency response.
We run short training sessions at the end of every shift — not long classroom presentations, but fifteen-minute conversations about what happened today and what to do better tomorrow. Workers are encouraged to raise concerns, ask questions, and report near-misses without fear of consequences.
Because the worker who speaks up about something that feels wrong is the most important safety system on any site.

What Makes Mewara Different
We are not the only mining contractor in Maharashtra. But we are one of the very few who treats worker wellbeing — safety, rest, medical care, nutrition, and training — as a core part of how we run every project, not as an optional extra.
Our workers show up. They stay. They refer their skilled friends to come work with us. And on project after project, our clients tell us that Mewara's site culture is unlike anything they have seen from other contractors.
That culture is the reason.
